• We are proud to announce a meaningful partnership between Hoff Coffi and Ysgol Tan y Gaer. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are dedicated to supporting students in developing entrepreneurship skills through the creation of a coffee business. This initiative aligns with one of the core purposes of the Welsh curriculum: to nurture ethically informed citizens of Wales and the world.

All profits from our coffee sales will be donated to the Team 4 U charity, which supports various projects in Uganda, the origin of our coffee. We are also excited to collaborate with Wrexham Bean as our local roaster.

This project is incredibly inspiring. Students have designed the packaging, painted the logo and are managing the accounts, gaining valuable business skills in the process. It’s a win-win situation that makes a real difference.

About Tan y Gaer Coffi

Ysgol Tan y Gaer is an Alternative Provision for young people living in care.

This project supports them in developing essential business skills for the future. They are involved in every aspect of the business, from designing the packaging and the logo to managing the accounts.

This hands-on experience is invaluable for their personal and professional growth.

We are exposing young people to the world of work and raising vital funds at the same time. All of the profits go to support children in Uganda with our partners at Teams4U.

We are proud to work with and support the charity Teams 4 U, which works tirelessly to improve the lives of vulnerable children around the world. By partnering with Teams 4 U, we extend our impact beyond education, contributing to a broader range of initiatives that support children’s well-being and development.

Why would we do this? Why not? We have no extravagant salaries to pay, no shareholders to satisfy; just a group of pupils determined to make a difference.

We think this is the most inspiring school project ever. It makes sense for both us and them.

It makes a difference.

How it Works

The coffee is grown on the slopes of Mount Elgon in the Bugisu region of Uganda.

The coffee is an 100% Arabica blend, farmed using organic methods.

Hoff Coffi purchases the coffee from Uganda for the students at Ysgol Tan y Gaer.

The beans are then roasted with our partners at Wrexham Bean.

All of the profits made go to support T4U and their develop with dignity program.
